Where did Beverly's Bonnets begin? In Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
My family moved to Gettysburg and I became enthralled with the elegance of the clothing of the Civil War Era. My focus went to millinary. I determined to learn how to re-create the head pieces with attention to detail and authenticity. Over the years I've had a wide variety of clients come to me, each with a unique request for design. The challenge of re-creating authentic head pieces is one I really enjoy.

"The evening/ball headress could not have arrived at a more opportune time. I was in a blue mood when the box arrived. Your pretty piece of finery lifted my sagging spirits...isn't it lovely to discover that we are all still little children at heart and so enjoy dress-up? The headdress is very lovely. I don't know if I'll be able to do it proper justice, but I'll certainly enjoy wearing it." Kate
"The Bonnet is just wonderful ! Many, many thanks! I can't wait to wear it at the upcoming big event! Sue
"I want you to know how many compliments I've received about my new headpiece. Visitors to Arlington House always comment on my "Beverly Lister" creation. Your work has made all the difference in completing my 19th Century look - and I enjoy wearing my headpieces and garden bonnet each and every time." Delia
"Thank you for creating such a lovely, warm, and authentic drawn bonnet for me. Your talents are greatly appreciated, and your creation was enjoyed by many at this weekend's events. I was most happy for its comfy, cozy covering on what proved to be a very rainy, cold two days." K. J.
